Dr. Martin is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS), who treats pathologies of Spine, Brain and peripheral nerves. He has extensive experience with spinal conditions and treats patients utilizing minimally invasive techniques, standard approaches and also innovative image guided and endoscopic laser techniques.
He received his Undergraduate and Medical degrees from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He then completed a full Neurosurgery training program in the top National Health Institute in Mexico City.
In pursue of further knowledge and skills he came to the University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where he worked and learned as a visiting Fellow and Postdoctoral Associate Fellow at “the Center Image Guided Neurosurgery and Radiosurgery” with the University of Pittsburgh. After spending three years as a fellow he then completed a full 7 year Neurosurgery Residency to become a US Trained Neurosurgeon in among a top ranked program for Neurosurgery in the US, “The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.”
He practices in the Houston Metropolitan area and is affiliated with various facilities to include Memorial Hermann Hospitals, Methodist Hospitals, HCA facilities, CHI St. Luke’s and many others.
He enjoys living and practicing in the Houston area.

Dr. Juan J. Martin M.D., F.A.A.N.S. The practice follows Dr. Martin’s philosophy of providing personal and compassionate treatment for conditions of the spine, brain and nervous system.

As an experienced and skilled board-certified spine surgeon, Dr. Martin performs many procedures, including artificial disc replacements, minimally invasive surgery and fusion, spinal decompression, spinal fusions, spinal deformity correction surgery and spondylolisthesis surgery.
